About Lori Flowers

Created by a widowed parent who understands the space between grief and responsibility.

“I needed support that understood I was not only grieving. I was still raising a child.”

Why Raising Them Without You exists

After my husband died, I found that many grief resources offered comfort and encouragement, but few addressed the practical, everyday reality of grieving while continuing to parent.

There were decisions to make, routines to maintain, difficult conversations to navigate, and a child who needed reassurance—even on the days when I was barely finding my own footing.

I created Raising Them Without You so other widowed parents would have the kind of support I went looking for: gentle, honest, practical, and rooted in understanding.

There is no perfect way to do this. There can, however, be a place where you do not have to explain why it is so hard.

Warmly,
Lori
